And In Local TV The Winner Is …

The Nielsen ratings for Cleveland just came out. In analyzing the May 2013 ratings, I thought it might be interesting to note the winners in some key dayparts. I looked at the basic demographics of Households, Adults 25-49 (key demo of retail) and Adults 35-64 (major target of many of our clients) across the local Cleveland TV stations. All information is from Nielsen Cleveland LPM May 2013 (Live+3). And the winners are …

M-F 6a-7a Local Morning News

WJW in Cleveland

WJW wins across the board in Cleveland. In fact, it dominates this daypart with ratings double and triple its competition. The Local 7a-9a WJW also beats the network programs such as GMA and Today Show.

M-F Noon News

WOIO in Cleveland

WOIO leads the group in Households and Adults 35-64. WJW Fox 8 Noon News is second, Newschannel 5 Noon News is third with WUAB’s Maury Povich coming in fourth across all three demographics.
